Sir Mordack Purestaff, Knight of the Crown

Mordack was raised near Kalaman and studied at the magic academy until the age of twenty, where he went to Palanthas to take his test at the tower of high sorcery. While traveling, he met a wandering bard, of Solamnic background, who accompanied Mordack throughout the travels.

Inspired, Mordack became quite interested in the Solamnic Code and Measure. Bidding farewell to old bard, Mordack took and passed his test, an experience he chooses to remain secret. After spending his time deep in study, he decided it was time to set out and make a living.

Leaving his family's keep, he set out for the town of Solace, to the southwest, where he was squired and later on knighted. The Purestaff family line is long friends to the Pathwarden's, An old Solamnic family. Perhaps the most famous Purestaff, Gwydion Purestaff, was old friends to Angriff Brightblade, father of the famous Sturm Brightblade.
